Who was Sandy? Sandy Nyenhuis loved dogs. She loved people, too, but she really loved dogs, including her own—from Rusty her childhood Golden Retriever to Izzy, the Golden at her side when she died of ovarian cancer in 2019. Her friends at Spot On Veterinary Hospital & Hotel established the Sandy Fund in her honor to ensure all pet lovers can afford the veterinary care needed to keep their pets at their side, too.
Donations to the Sandy Fund pay veterinary and pet-care bills for people who cannot afford them, in addition to providing much needed veterinary care for rescued pets waiting for their forever home.
The Sandy Fund at Spot On is operated through the Veterinary Care Foundation.
